It is a great pleasure to extend New Year’s greetings to the readers of New York Biz.
New York City prides itself on the diversity of our people, and it has been shaped by the languages and cultural backgrounds of residents who have come from all over the world to make a home in the five boroughs. Our dynamic Japanese community has been strengthened by local organizations and publications such as New York Biz that foster an appreciation of heritage and are vital resources for people in our city and beyond. Since 1975, this publication has covered leading news stories while also offering insight into a variety of topics such as business, economics, and entertainment for Japanese New Yorkers. I applaud the dedicated staff and reporters who have added to this paper’s success as well as their contributions to the rich fabric that unites all of our cultural communities.
